Basin Street Blues, like Sadie Green, is one of our all-time favorites. Fun to play, fun to sing, and a great hit with audiences, it’s simple and complex at the same time, with lots of room for musical exploration. This song can be dangerous! I rely on the quiet elegance of the Martin M-38 acoustic guitar to maintain order. Amy & Diane's harmony singing has been known to make perfectly good men leave their homes, and Gilby’s harmonica has caused more troubled marriages than we care to admit. I won’t even discuss the havoc wrought by The Rocket’s piano.
